Book One. Rae Wilder has problems. Supernatural creatures swarm the earth, and humanity is on the brink of extinction. Stalked by a handsome fairy who claims she is like him, demonkind, Rae thinks maybe it was a mistake breaking the rules by going over the Wall into demon territory. Plunged into a world of dark magics, fierce creatures, and ritual sacrifice, she is charged with a guarding a magical amulet. The changes to her mind and body are startling, but rather than accept her purpose she struggles against who she is destined to be. Throw in a big lust for a vampire who can't keep his hands off her, and life starts to get complicated. Rae is forced to make the ultimate choice: to live and die human, or embrace her birth-right and wield magics that could turn her into something wicked, a force of nature nothing can control.

  • Nice idea but fell far from good

    From Demolife
I think the author has been watching too much True Blood. Too much resemblance including a lot of terms used. Intriguing build up but didn't lead to anything. The main character is a contradiction. She (Rae) is written as strong and bold one second then scared, timid and emotion within the same page. The plot is about the "good guys" trying to bring peace, yet they kill their own kind. Confused? I was.

Good read! Definitely will read the next book in the series.
  • Meh

    From Meeeeeeeeeeeeererr
Rae wants her cake and to eat it too 😒 It's infuriating to read how this girl goes back and forth kissing and touching both boys within minutes of each other. I gave the book 2 stars. While the storyline is intriguing, I think it had the potential to be better.
  • Demon girl?????

    From KkKaynal
I read this a year or two ago and loved it so much and I got a new phone and I couldn't find it! Why the name change? I liked the other name, this one 'glamour' is kinda unoriginal idk
  • Good story line

    From Epichild
I found myself drawn to the characters and enjoyed the book overall. I look forward to Book Two, in part to hope some of my lingering questions are answered. However, I think this young, promising author deserves a better editor: The sentence structure made for a confusing read at times, and the plethora of typos were distracting. Good luck in your future works, Penelope!
  • Good work

    From CharlitoTC
It needs a bit of editing but it was a nice start for the series. I will like to see more than four volumes.
  • Demon Girl

    From Clemers1
Out of the Rae Wilder series this was by far the best book. The way Rae's life un-folds is compelling to read about. The rising climax is one of the best I've read throughout the year thus far.
  • Great book

    Great read.
  • I already have this book for free!

    From LongPath
I have already downloaded this same book for free under a different title (Demon Girl). Why is this same book under a different name??? Why did I waste my $$?
  • Surprisingly captivating, though derivative

    From Tom Keenoy
Fletcher creates an interesting world. The "girl in dark love triangle" plot is painfully derivative. The action is too dense, leaving far too little room for character development. As a result, the feelings she tries to evoke in her protagonist come up short. But even with that criticism, I still felt compelled to keep reading. I think that with some practice, Penelope Fletcher could be a solid fantasy writer.
